Nepal mountaineering expeditions leader
Pemba hails from the Khumbu region and did his training for rock climbing, basic mountaineering and advanced mountaineering with the Nepal Mountaineering Association. In addition, he is an approved Helicopter Marshal and a Mountaineering Liaison Officer. Like many Sherpas, Pemba started as a porter for trekkers on the Everest Base Camp trail and has eventually been promoted to a guide, summiting four 8-thousanders, all before the age of 30 years. He has been on many mountaineering expeditions, and has summited the following:
– Everest (8,848m)
– Kanchenjunga (8,586m)
– Lhotse (8,516m)
– Manaslu (8,163m)
– Mera Peak (6,467m)
– Island Peak (6,160m)
– Lobuche Peak (6,119m)
